New Horizons International Film Festival
We had the pleasure of shooting at the New Horizons 2022 festival, one of the largest film festivals in Poland. This year it was a special event, as it was held after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the festival we had the opportunity to attend unique film screenings, which presented the latest works of well-known directors, but also debutants and experimental filmmakers. We found the meetings with filmmakers extremely inspiring and gave us the opportunity to meet interesting people from the film industry.
Our work as festival photographers consisted of documenting the events that took place during the festival. We took a lot of reportage photos that capture the atmosphere of the events and meetings. We also took portraits and product photos for the festival’s sponsors. Our main goal was to document the moments that create the unique atmosphere of the festival – both on and off stage. We wanted to capture the emotions of the audience during the film screenings, their reactions to each scene, as well as the conversations with the filmmakers that took place after the screenings.
For us as festival photographers, this was not only a challenge, but also an unforgettable experience. We had the opportunity to work with a professional team and meet people from different industries who collaborated in the organization of the festival.
The festival also featured several unique events. Such as W BRZASK NO. 27 a series of musical events that takes advantage of the gracious but challenging aura of sunrise and combines it with musical experimentation. Our photos from the event show the full charm and magic of the venue, which we were able to capture on film frame.
The New Horizons Festival is definitely more than just film screenings – it is a unique experience, full of emotions and surprises. That’s why we had the great pleasure to be part of the festival’s team of photographers and capture in the frame unique moments that will remain in our memory for a long time.
